Project 8
this was my last project using the ADSR features in poizone. i made my first synth build up with a slow attack and also fade away slowly. this started the song. the the next synth i used i made with a short attack, delay, sustain, and release. i used this as the lead in the song. then i drop it off and have it lead in again to a more layered version of the first lead. this entire song was over a shifting beat that changes as the mood changes as well. in my opinion this was a pretty happy song. a decent end to a great class.

Project 7
this is my dubstep project. i personally am a really big fan of dubstep and listen to it all the time. so going into this project i had a good understanding of what it sounds like and i tried to model it after songs from my favorite artist, bassnectar. it starts with a very simple drum beat. i then quicken the hat sound and introduce another simple sequence, only this time its an electric sound i made on poizone. this plays for a few measures until i really build it up with a swell and a very fast hat. i also put in a audio clip from one of the presets to give the drop more character. right after the vocal sequence it drops into a heavy bass sequence. this plays for a few measures until it builds up again and another vocal sequence comes right before another drop. after this drop however, i have the bass sequence alternate with one of a higher pitch. this leads me to my ending which is the beginning sequence played again until it fades out. because of the vocal sequence the song goes on for about an extra 30 seconds of silence, sorry about that.

Project 6
For the chord project i began the song with a very simple bass sequence using sytrus. At the end of the sequence i added a buildup sound that proceeded a secondary bass line accompanied by the first. Throughout this the chord sequence is slowly getting louder and louder until it finally dominates the sound. The chords i used was my own recreation of Sandstorm by Darude. I played this several times before having the separate sequences fade out and it ends with the first, simple, bass line accompanied with the sound i used for a build up. Only the i modified the pitch and volume so it would fade away and create a nice ending.

Project 5
i based this song after the theme song of the movie Beverly Hills Cop, Axel F. i learned how to play it on the piano and decided this would be a good project to use it. i tried to make the main sequence sound like the original version which surprisingly wasn't far off the default noise. but i made the bass line a sound similar to the electric 3 sound on sytrus then used the ending of the base line to fade out of the song. during the song i also moved the main line up an octave to give the song some variations.

Project 4
to start of the song i have a kick beat that has a delay and reverberation effect that goes on for several measures then i added a clap with the same effects on the second beat. After that i led the kick speed up with a sped up synth explosion beside it. this built up the suspension for a good lead which i made using the piano roll on a bass setting with FL slayer. after that faded out i put in a small synth sequence which faded out to reveal only the starting bass sequence again. this ended the song. i kind of am disappointed with the ending but i hope it wasnt bad enough to give it a bad grade.

Project 3
i once again started off the song with a drum beat which then built up to a strong sequence of a major phazor from FL Slayer with drums that i made match the beat of the phazor. but near the end of the phazor sequence i sped up the drums and made the pitch swing down then back up. this preceded the end of the phazor and i made a string of kick s that went all the way down in pitch to end the clip
Project 2
On this project i started off with a pretty generic drum beat that led up to a rhythm guitar that i composed using the chop tool in piano roll. i also added a bass guitar in the background to give the song more depth. at the end of the song i peeled away the guitar then the bass until it eventually was just the drum beat again, to end it i put in a quick rising kick beat and then a loud thump.
